What happens to your Green Canyon booking in bad weather

Quick answer

If a Green Canyon cruise cannot operate because of weather, we contact you to rebook or cancel free of charge — and since nothing is paid online, there is nothing to refund. In practice it is rare: the reservoir is sheltered mountain water, not open sea, and ordinary wind that cancels Side sea trips rarely troubles it.

Side guests who have had a harbour boat trip cancelled by wind tend to ask about the canyon with the same worry. The geography answers most of it.

A lake between walls

The reservoir sits in a canyon behind a 185-metre dam. The walls shelter it, there is no swell and no open fetch for wind to work on, and a day that is too rough for the sea at Side is usually an ordinary day on the lake. Rain is rarer still in the season.

If a cruise really cannot run

On the rare day it happens, we contact you — by phone or WhatsApp, the number you gave when booking — and offer another date or a free cancellation. You decide; nothing is argued about because nothing was paid.

The policy in two lines

  • You cancel: free up to 48 hours before the start.
  • We cancel: another date or a free cancellation, your choice, no refund needed because no payment was taken.

What we do not do

We do not take a deposit 'in case', we do not promise a weather guarantee we cannot keep, and we do not quietly swap the canyon for a different excursion. If the day changes, you hear it from us first.

Does rain cancel the Green Canyon tour?
