Manavgat is the canyon's home town. The boarding jetty sits in Oymapınar, officially one of the town's own neighbourhoods, and the lake is simply the town's river — the 93-kilometre Manavgat — held behind the dam. Staying in Manavgat has one genuine luxury on canyon day: the tail of the pickup route is shorter than anywhere else on the coast, so mornings start later and the afternoon drop-off comes sooner. Guests in the town's riverside hotels are collected on the Manavgat run, which also serves Gündoğdu, Kızılağaç and Kızılot on the eastern bank.
Manavgat has its own river boats, its waterfall and a weekly market — none of them are ours to sell, but all of them pair naturally with a canyon day. The return journey from the canyon begins at around 15:00, which from Manavgat leaves most of the late afternoon free.
One coach works a set route through the district, hotel by hotel. The exact time is confirmed the day before, once the day's bookings shape the route — a fixed minute promised weeks ahead would be a guess, and we do not sell guesses.
